Currently, most of the research team is engaged in analysing and making sense of the data of the State of Democracy in South Asia project, the fieldwork for which was conducted in 19 States in the second half of 2019, with a view to producing a report.

Lokniti recently collaborated with Gaon Connect (said to be India’s biggest rural media platform) to conduct a survey of rural households in order to find out how lives and livelihoods in villages got affected by the lockdown. The research team helped them design the questionnaire and also in the analysis of the data collected by the Gaon Connect team.
