Lokniti conducted a Pre Poll survey for the 2016 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

Here is the Methodology of the Survey :-

The survey was conducted among 3252 respondents in 180 locations spread across 45 Assembly Constituencies. The Assembly Constituencies where the survey was conducted were randomly selected using the Probability Proportionate to Size method. Thereafter four polling stations within each of the sampled constituencies were selected using the Systematic Random Sampling method. Finally, the respondents were also randomly selected using the same method from the latest electoral rolls of the sampled polling stations. The fieldwork was conducted between May 9 and May 13. Specially trained field investigators asked the respondents, in a face-to-face interview a detailed set of questions which could take up to 20-25 minutes. The fieldwork of the study in Tamil Nadu was coordinated by P. Ramajayam (Centre for Study of Social Exclusion & Inclusive Policy, Bharathidasan University, Trichy). The survey were designed and analyzed by a team of researchers at the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies, Delhi. The team included Asmita Aasaavari, Vibha Attri, Souradeep Banerjee, Himanshu Bhattacharya, Shashwat Dhar, Arushi Gupta, Kanchan Malhotra,  Nitin Mehta, Jyoti Mishra, Shreyas Sardesai, Sam Solomon, Dhananjay Kumar Singh and Rahul Verma. The survey was directed by Sanjay Kumar.
