Lokniti conducted a Pre Poll survey for the 2016 Kerala Assembly elections.

Here is the Methodology of the Survey :-

The survey was conducted among 1725 respondents in 144 locations spread across 36 Assembly Constituencies. The Assembly Constituencies where the survey was conducted were randomly selected using the Probability Proportionate to Size method. Thereafter four polling stations within each of the sampled constituencies were selected using the Systematic Random Sampling method. Finally, the respondents were also randomly selected using the same method from the latest electoral rolls of the sampled polling stations. The fieldwork was conducted between May 7 and May 13. Specially trained field investigators asked the respondents, in a face-to-face interview a detailed set of questions which could take up to 20-25 minutes. The fieldwork of the study in Kerala was coordinated by Dr. K.M. Sajad Ibrahim (Associate Professor of Political Science, University of Kerala). The survey were designed and analyzed by a team of researchers at the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies, Delhi. The team included Asmita Aasaavari, Vibha Attri, Souradeep Banerjee, Himanshu Bhattacharya, Shashwat Dhar, Arushi Gupta, Kanchan Malhotra,  Nitin Mehta, Jyoti Mishra, Shreyas Sardesai, Sam Solomon, Dhananjay Kumar Singh and Rahul Verma. The survey was directed by Sanjay Kumar.
