Demise of Prof. Rajni Kothari 

Professor Rajni Kothari the founder of Centre for the Study of Developing Societies passed away on Monday, 19 January 2015 at 9.45 am at his residence in Delhi. He was 86. We pay our earnest tribute to this extraordinary political scientist and intellectual who radically changed the contours of the discipline of political science in India. A memorial meeting was held in CSDS on February 2nd 2015 in remembrance of our founder and his immense contribution to not just the Centre but also the larger discipline of political science.
