Lokniti-CSDS-ABP News Mood of the Nation Surveys are a series of surveys done to gauge the public opinion at regular intervals. The first round of the series was conducted in May 2017; since then two more rounds have been conducted in  January and May 2018. Taken together, these three rounds of the exercise provide important time-series data for certain questions pertaining to the political mood of the voters. Taken individually, each round provides a sharp insight into some of the more urgent contemporary polemics, be it in the field of politics, social life or economic issues. The designing of each of the instrument was done with much attention to the current issues around it, while making sure that some of the recurring issues of Indian political and social life find their place in the survey too. These surveys can prove to be an important instrument to understand public opinion in between the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha Elections.
