Ramesh K Chauhan is Senior Lecturer in the department of Political Science, Himachal Pradesh University. He has been teaching for the last twelve years. At Himachal Pradesh University Dr. Chauhan teaches International Politics, Indian Politics and a paper on Nation-Building and Nationaism besides he is also involved in supervising M.Phil. and Ph.D. researchers.

Dr. Chauhan has been actively associated with Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA), a New Delhi based NGO working for the upliftment of socially oppressed sections of society. He completed a project in 2003, sponsored by PRIA on "Dalit Leadership in Panchayats". He has been associated with Lokniti since January 2003 and has served as the State Coordinator for Himachal Pradesh in the post poll surveys for Himachal Pradesh State Assembly Elections in 2003 and the National Election Study in 2004.


Research interests :
Dr. Chauhan main areas of interest include International Politics and Indian politics with special reference to ethnic and nationality problem/question in India.
